No. Our full-flake system provides a textured, slip-resistant surface that feels great on bare feet. The vinyl flakes create an orange-peel texture for excellent grip. We also add a texture agent to the polyaspartic topcoat for extra safety in wet areas.

Standard DIY epoxy dries hard and brittle. This causes it to crack and peel under hot Florida tires. Our Simiron polyurea basecoat is flexible. It moves with the concrete and bonds deep into the pores. Polyurea is simply the best choice for residential garages and commercial spaces.

Diamond grinding is the only way to properly prep a floor. We use heavy-duty Lavina grinders to open the concrete pores to a CSP 2 or 3 profile. This allows the basecoat to lock deep into the slab for a permanent mechanical bond. We never use cheap acid etching.
